Restoration of bearing sleeve

Bearing sleeves prevent seawater from entering a vessel where the shaft enters the hull. Most suppliers advise to purchase a new bearing sleeve, but by applying a TOPCOAT® ceramic coating it is possible to restore the bearing sleeve in an inexpensive way. The bearing sleeve looks as good as new, now that it is wear-resistant.

This bearing sleeve of a fishing cutter is better than new for its water resistance properties have been restored and the average lifetime of a ceramic coated bearing sleeve is better than that of a bearing sleeve without coating.
